Kent Wedding Cakes

Here at Wedding Cakes By The Sea it is so important that you love our cake flavours. We want you to enjoy eating your cake as well as loving how it looks. The proof is definitely in the pudding. The below are recipes I have tried and tested over time and are my most popular requested cake flavours. If there is another flavour that you’d like to have, let me know and I will see what I can do.  All cakes are freshly made on the premises, in my dedicated cake studio, in Broadstairs, Kent.

  • Vanilla – Traditional Vanilla light flavoured sponge filled with raspberry conserve and vanilla buttercream
  • Chocolate – Rich chocolate fudge, gooey cake filled with either milk chocolate buttercream/vanilla flavoured buttercream or a decadent white chocolate ganache
  • Lemon – Zesty lemony sponge, soaked in lemon syrup filled with lemon curd buttercream
  • Sticky Toffee – Sticky Toffee Pudding cake filled with a toffee flavoured buttercream with a swirl of toffee sauce
  • Chocolate Guinness – Gorgeous rich chocolate sponge filled with a very decadent Baileys infused buttercream (Contains Alcohol)
  • White Chocolate & Raspberry – White chocolate and raspberry sponge cake filled with a white chocolate buttercream
  • Cookies & Cream – Cookies and cream sponge filled with a crushed cookies buttercream
  • Raspberry & Coconut – Raspberry and coconut sponge cake filled with a raspberry and vanilla flavoured buttercream
  • Cherry Bakewell – Almond flavoured sponge filled with almond flavoured buttercream, morello cherry conserve and chopped toasted flaked almonds
  • Salted Caramel – Caramel flavoured sponge filled with salted caramel buttercream and a swirl of salted caramel sauce
  • Carrot Cake – Carrot cake filled with a deliciously sweet maple syrup buttercream
  • Fruit cake – Rich fruit cake filled with dried fruits and nuts, filled with apricot jam and covered in marzipan (please note our fruit cakes are fed alcohol over a 3 month period to mature the flavours)

All cakes (unless requested) will be covered in a layer of either milk/dark or white chocolate ganache and covered with the absolute best fondant icing. This can be discussed during your tasting consultation.

Vegan and dairy free cakes can be made on request, unfortunately I cannot make gluten free cakes or cakes that are completely nut free (due to traces in certain ingredients)
